You also have to take into consideration the number of your guests.  If you have a large number of visitors then you must need to have a bigger location in order to accommodate everyone.  You may ask what if not all of them will attend.  Can I just settle down on a smaller venue?  The answer is that you can as long as two-thirds of the total number of guests will fit.  This is the safest number of guest that you can have.  If you settle for a very small venue, what will happen if all of them attend?  Where you going to place them?
Aside from considering your guests, you also have to consider the wedding services that you will get like the photographers or the DJ.  Are they okay with the scenario that they have to travel to other places for the wedding?  If not, do you still have the time to contact other wedding service providers near the location that you want?  These minor details are the things that should not be overlooked b the couple.  one mistake of overlooking these minor things will give you a very dull and problematic wedding day.
As tasking as choosing the location may be, you will benefit greatly on these steps because this will lessen your stress on the day of your wedding and at the same time, enjoying the venue that you have been wanting all your life.
