Having great food at your wedding is very important. However, the way in which the food is served differs variously, all of which are listed below.
BUFFET SERVICE
In a buffet service, your guests are the ones that go and serve themselves. If a couple does decide to host a buffet in their wedding, the couple needs to make sure that the hosts set up the table in such a way where two lines can be formulated at each side of the table. This will ensure that the service is speedy, smooth and no pushing or shoving. The way a buffet service is set up is fairly simple. First, the dinner plates are placed first, followed by any kind of hot food. Afterwards, cold foods such as salads, breads and rolls are served.
At the end of the line is where the guests can grab their cutlery. The cutlery sits at the end so that the guests don’t have to struggle with holding the plate from start to finish. If choosing a buffet, you have to make sure you have enough food to serve all your guests without wasting a large amount.

BANQUET SERVICE
For a more elegant and formal dinner, a couple may choose to have the hosts serve their guests while they wait at their seats. The plates
are already pre-garnished and prepared. One thing a couple might
want to do is ask their wedding party if anyone has any allergies to
specific foods.
